Who would be the audience for your media product?

The audience for my music magazine are older teenagers of any gender. Their psychographic category would be indie kids, although the magazine is also targeted at fans of other genres like dance and pop. Their favourite music would be artists like Lady Gaga as well as older bands such as the Beatles.

Their spending habits would include clothes and music, sometimes art and drinks. They would try and get music on vinyl, and would also spend a lot at stores like H&M and French Connection. Other things they would spend money on would include Starbucks, Pepsi, books, trainers and instruments. It is likely most of the readers would have a large disposable income, due to their age and psychographics, and because of the higher price point of the magazine.

The circulation of the magazine is going to be 600,000, which is based against Blender's of 912,739. This would be demonstrated to advertisers in a media kit, and a large revenue stream would be built from advertising, covering the costs of production, which would leave the rest of the money as profit.
